Arts Festivals in CD4
Come out and enjoy two arts festivals - TarFest and the NoHo Scene Festival - in CD4 from October 3-5. Take the bus or ride a bicycle to TarFest for three days of art, film, music and even a fun run. Join Tom for his Fall Equinox Hike
Please join Tom and the Council District 4 staff for our annual Fall Equinox Hike in Griffith Park on Tues., Sept. 23 at 6:15 p.m. Meet us at the north end of the Griffith Observatory parking lot for the spectacular city views of this sunset hike. Contact Jullian Harris-Calvin for more information.
Griffith Park Clean-Up on Saturday, Sept. 13
Councilmember LaBonge planting a tree last Spring at one of his post-Griffith Park Fire restoration events. The next clean-up is this Saturday, Sept. 13.
Please join Councilmember Tom LaBonge, the CD4 staff and the Department of Recreation and Parks for a clean-up of the Griffith Park Bird Sanctuary on Saturday, September 13, from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
This event is part of Councilmember LaBonge's year-long effort to restore Griffith Park in the wake of the devastating May 2007 fire that burned almost one-quarter of the park.
Meet us in front of the entrance to the Bird Sanctuary on Vermont Canyon Road. Please wear sunscreen and appropriate clothing for outdoor work.
