"Public Safety, Public Works and What the Public Needs to Know about the City Budget" is the theme of the Council District 4 Community Congress on Tuesday, June 7, 6-8 p.m.
"This is a great opportunity for the public to meet with some of the top officials in Los Angeles to hear about what is happening now," Councilmember LaBonge said.

Arthur T. Leahy, the new CEO of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (METRO) will be among the featured speakers, as will Enrique Zaldivar, General Manager of the Bureau of Sanitation and Nazario Sauceda, Asst. General Manager of the Bureau of Street Services.
From the LAPD, Asst. Chief Mike Downing will talk about the Counter-Terrorism/Criminal Intelligence Bureau, where he serves as commanding officer. Capt. Beatrice Girmala, commanding officer of the LAPD's Hollywood Division, will discuss issues in that area.
The event will be held at the Hollywood City Hall, 6501 Fountain Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90028.
